Lesson learned...

This post will not have any photos haha. I just feel like writing out something I learned while doing my management accounting assignment.

I had this really really confusing question for my assignment and my mistake was that I reread over and over again on the same old paragraph which does not answer my question for the past 1 week. Then I decided to look for some help from my aunt and my mother's friend and my mother's friend somehow answered my question which makes a lot more sense than my previous doubts.

Guess what was the mistake?

It's because I reread over and over again the same old paragraph and totally abandon something which is important in the beginning of the case study.. Thank god I still have time to complete my assignment and I am quite relieved at the moment until some other coursemates bring more doubt ( I hope not.. =P)

So... My first lesson learned throughout this semester: There's always a reason for every single word in it.

It's the day scheduled with talks by various photographers of different specialty/professionality or whatever you call it such as Ted Adnan on portraiture, Darren Chang on automative and Mr. Choen Lee on creativity sort of things and also talks by adobe and epson mainly on their products. Basically that's what my group had for Day 2.

Photos taken using the A900 and printed using Epson printer.

Then, we had lunch at the middle east restaurant again....

During Darren's session, he asked us to shoot the bike.

Some close-up of the bikes...

Ahh... then the model arrived and everyone got distracted and most cameras changed its direction.

Sony Alpha Convention 2008

Day 1

The convention organized by Sony Alpha was great. Learned really a lot of things as a beginner and glad to be 1 out of the 400 participants there. We had lunch at the middle east restaurant there before the opening ceremony of the convention and some model shooting with Ducati and Harley Davidson bikes.

Model #1

Model #2

Model #3 - Monique

There was a PS3 there also with the game called Afrika. It's a mission game thing where you have to capture images of animals.

The convention then started at about 3pm..

This is George, Sony Alpha's product manager.

Then, the A900 was launched.

George introducing the model for the A900 advertisement and Mr. Choen Lee, the photographer for the ad.

First session by Mr. Kris LeBoutiller.

He was holding the Alpha stickers and those who collected it will win prize and the one who collected the most won an A900 !

After 2 hours of everything in the ballroom, I continued shooting the models. =P

As you can see the bottom left photo, the model was tired that's why she sat down and posed like that. That's what I assume la. haha

Sungai Congkak Outing

The next day after shooting fireworks at Putrajaya, I went for an outing by Sony with other Alphanatics members to Sg. Congkak for shooting. It was quite an tiring day because I had only a few hours of sleep as we had to gather at Mid Valley around 7.30am.

As I was browsing through the folder, I am not satisfied with the photos I took that time which I was really proud of it then... Hmm... Maybe I've improved? LOL... well anyway, I only have a few photos to post including those I have posted before last time. Enjoy.

The first 3 photos are the one I submitted for the contest thingy after every outing.

Sony Alpha Convention 2008

The 3 days convention by Sony ended yesterday. It was really good seriously. We had free lunch buffet, freebies, models and bikes to shoot, talks from various speakers who are quite great photographers. Most importantly, A900 was launched and Sony lenses has new pricing now. Price has dropped quite a lot. well.. not much difference for me as a student as I still can't afford them anyway. haha. anyway, quoted from David's blog, Sony really knows how to make man happy. hahaha

The ad in Kl sentral.

One of the room was at Kl Sentral.

Me and Alpha logo.

Ahhhh... the models and bikes.

The lucky man who won the A900.

My α Journey: Road to Convention

In this post, I am going to post on where my camera have been with me all this while since I bought my a300.

Of course, it has always been at home with me.

Then I brought it to Singapore but unfortunately, we managed to see only the Merlion's ass.

Besides that, my camera was blessed too. =D

It gets to go bermakan-makan with me also.

It has seen fireworks at putrajaya, view of pd, Lake Gardens and also chicks in Sunway. =P

Lastly, it has been to one Sony Alpha Basic Course and one outing at Sg. Congkak.

Where will it go to next?

jeng jeng jeng...

Tomorrow my a300 will meet another 399 brothers/sisters and also a newborn a900.

Yes. I will be attending a Sony Alpha Seminar at Le Meridien Hotel for the weekend and I am very excited now... hehehe

My α Journey: Faces

Another fun thing I love to do with my Alpha is capturing the expression of people I come about.

There are many different expressions which people(from the young to the old) show and usually we will forget the next day or probably in few hours.

With my Alpha, I am able to capture them (with luck of course sometimes) and get to browse them through once in a while when I'm bored. It's quite fun actually. haha. It makes you think back what happened during that moment.

Below are some photos I captured since I own this Alpha.

Me love shooting people who shoot me. hehe.

Cute?

Above are Dagri Rinpoche, my grandparents and Venerable Sonam.

Above: Caught them staring at each other. =P jkjk
Below: Stone and nothing else better to do.

ahh.. what I like most. Happiness. =D

Lastly, who says we can only take portrait of human.. We shall not forget about the other sentient being around us..

Goose...

p/s: Sony Alpha Convention in 3 days time. weeee... excited..
